2006 Tennessee Governor Race for June 08, 2006
Governors Race Poll Closed
The poll being conducted in the Governor's race has been closed because we reach 1500 votes! Thanks to everyone who voted. Here are the results:
If the election for Governor were held today, for which of the following would you vote?
Jim BRYSON (R) 52.1%
Phil BREDESEN (D) 41.9%
John Jay HOOKER (I) 6.1%
There are couple of interesting things about this poll. First of all, both major party candidates were leading fairly dramatically at one point, and as you can see the results were very close to the end. The other interesting thing is that there is a distinct possibility, based on the logs that both top candidates voted for themselves at least once in this poll. At the very least, this poll elicited responses from state government employees, state legislators, college students, private sector employees, and even a few Washington insiders. Don't worry folks - even the logs don't reveal who you voted for, just that you voted. So, there is a new poll out on the right-hand side. This one meant to get even more responses - about 2004's other big race - the race to replace Senator Bill Frist.
l will vote for Jim Bryson. I wouldn't vote for Breedeson even if he were the only one running.He has done more to kill off Tennesseeans that the war has done. He is a heartless monster.
